Faded in distances
I was standing on the road..a two-way road.I didn't know where to go.I sat down.I was watching both ways with my puzzled eyes.I heard whispring of something.I turned and saw a butterfly, flying with peace and enjoying life. She took one way and flied...I followed her but when i followed her she faded in distances and i remained alone.

amazing!

ReplyDeleteI am happy it seemed nice to you:)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful write-up, Zarnab. It's short but I could feel the beauty in it. Keep writing! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for feeling it with me:)
DeleteOne has to have a beautiful heart to write like this.
ReplyDeleteIts hard but such is the way of this world...We look up to someone, we find someone and then we are left to fight our own battles, all alone, I guess...
your guess is so true..no one fights on other's behalf.
DeleteZarnab, remember the words in Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road not Taken.”
ReplyDelete… I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Follow the butterfly. It’s not an external symbol, you know, but a symbol of your soul.
Sometimes it deludes me debra:(
Deleteso deep and beautiful, zarnab. sometimes i wish i can be like the butterfly... unafraid to live life and explore horizons even if it leads it to nowhere... ❤
