Memories...
In attic's gleam, where children gleefully play,
Their laughter rings, a vibrant, joyful sway.
Yet echoes linger, of smiles that once did gleam,
And you, my love, a phantom, a fleeting dream.
Imagination paints you, vivid and near,
A prophecy of joy, allaying all fear.
But fallacy it is, a mirage in the sand,
Our promises, like castles, built on shifting land.
Realities intrude, a stark and ugly sight,
Two souls entwined, yet lost in lonely night.
We dwell in this world, yet spirits, isolated and forlorn,
Yearning for a love that's forever gone.

Beautiful poem. After all this life is a quest for love. The journey never ends :)
